TV SHOW REVIEW: Gotham

It was just another boring old day when I approached my boyfriend and asked if he wanted to watch something together. He of course instantly said yes, "Let's watch Gotham".
Now, if you know me, you know I watched just about 35% of what's on Netflix already. 50% of what's considered "good". I've probably spent almost a year of my life, streaming movies and shows.
Growing up, we never really had a tv and by the time I was in middle school and would have to tell people I didn't know what PLL (Pretty Little Liars) was because I didn't have a tv, they'd look at me with such disbelief. As if I suddenly developed chicken pox and was contagious. Exaggerating am I? Maybe haha but that's how it felt.
It wasn't till about my junior year when I finally found out that some shows offer pilot episodes for free and of course, 123movies helped haha. So yeah I'll admit I watch television and stream movies ALOT now but I guess I'm just making up for the lost time.
Anyway, back to Gotham. I've been binge-watching the first season and so far so good. I mean, I don't know. I don't want to get into the nits and grits of it as I know a lot of die-hard fans have better background knowledge about what the show/characters should entail than me but what I can say is for the most part the casting so far has been really good. I really enjoy the scenes with Bruce Wayne and all the other characters we know and love as kids and seeing how their character develops.
I do recommend giving it a watch here and there considering it lasted from 2014-2019 and is definitely entertaining at times. It's essentially the story behind Detective James Gordon's rise to prominence in Gotham City in the years before Batman's arrival. You know Gordon...
Yup haha that's the one. The guy you always see sending out the bat symbol. I'd like to think he was the first "Super Hero" of Gotham but I'll leave that up to you guys.
There's action, there's love, there's a bunch of new characters you've probably never seen on the big screen, there's wit, and great sets, so give it a watch and then come back here and let me know what you think of it in the comments :)
